Wixarika (Huichol) Yarn Painting Workshops

Wixarika (Huichol) Yarn Painting Workshops

06.13.2015 - 06.27.2015
Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders

In this workshop you will create your own yarn painting, inspired by the visionary art of the Huichol Indians. Using multicolored yarns, each participant will create a unique artwork based in traditional Huichol designs. The workshop is appropriate for beginners as well as those with art experience (kids and adults welcome!) Join us for a session of art making and community sharing, as we honor the Huichol Culture. Art supplies will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own favorite materials or drawings.

Workshops will be led by Artist Andrea Arroyo
