Mano a Mano will celebrate the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs’ annual Immigrant Heritage Week by hosting Son Jarocho presentation and workshop: Afro-Caribbean Influences in Mexican Music and Dance. Son Jarocho, from Veracruz, Mexico, is a vibrant folk music celebration genre. This program features a performance by Son de Montón, a New York City-based group.

This event is free, accessible and open to the public following the CUNY Information Fair at the College of Staten Island.

CSI Ferry Shuttle

The College of Staten Island provides a non-stop free shuttle bus from the St.

George Ferry Terminal to the College of Staten Island. The shuttle will be running from 9:00am till 3:30pm on 4/16/11 to accommodate travel to the CUNY Mexican American Fair, held in the Sports and Recreation Building, 1R.

The Staten Island Ferry offers passengers free travel to Manhattan and runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Staten Island Ferry departs from Staten Island’s St. George Terminal to Manhattan’s Whitehall Terminal every half-hour on Saturdays.

Several train lines in Manhattan converge at the Manhattan Whitehall Ferry Terminal, including the 4, 5, R, 1 lines.
